The eNGO Challenge Awards is aimed at identifying, recognising and felicitating organisations that have done exceptional work amid communities using various kinds of new age digital tools. On October 24, 2016, a day-long jury for eNGO Challenge Awards was held at Sanskriti Kala Kendra, New Delhi, to choose the best innovators among 62 finalists. This year, eNGO had received a total of 331 nominations across eight categories — Enablement & Empowerment; Healthcare and Wellness; Education & Learning; Governance & Livelihood; Digital Empowerment & Tools; Heritage & Culture; Entrepreneurship & Outreach and Environment & Sustainability.
Out of these 331, 157 were shortlisted to go for the Virtual Jury, following which the Grand Jury took a look at them. The finalists have been notified of their selection and the winners will be disclosed on February 25, 2017, at Surajkund Mela Ground, Faridabad, Haryana.
Through its annual Jury and Awards, the eNGO Challenge as a platform strives to build and strengthen grassroots not-for-profit organisations and help them enter the mainstream with the help of new age tools for their outreach, planning and implementation activities.
