About Mobile For Good Awards
Introduced in 2011, the Mobile for Good Awards have supported 13 social organisations using mobile technology in the four areas of m-health, m- education, m-governance & m-business inclusion through crucial funding and mentorship to build capacity and further outreach over a period of two years.
The Mobile for Good Awards 2014 aims at selecting 5 best-practice NGOs / NFPs for providing mobile application solutions in 5 critical areas of Governance, Health, Education, Agriculture & Environment and Women Empowerment & Inclusive Development. Adding another milestone to the M4G Awards this year, the “Special Awards” category have been introduced that will recognise winning ideas or concepts using mobile solutions in the defined focus areas.
Towards mobilising the awards across the country the Mobile for Good Awards successfully conducted four regional summits in Kolkatta, Guwahati, Lucknow and Kochi respectively.
